The 3Doodler is essentially a 3D Printer that fits in your hand and behaves like a pen! In fact, it really is a pen. It is literally a dream come true for many artists and graphic designers. The 3Doodler is not only excellent for letters and words but for images as well. You can design a logo and then just lift it off the sheet of paper to instantly have a 3D design and you can draw the letters or images perpendicular (at a 90 degree angle) to the sheet of paper. You can see an example of this in the product video of the 3Doodler below. It works with both ABS and PLA plastics. The Wobble Works company, maker of the 3Doodler, has an excellent comparison chart available on this page as to what projects are best for ABS plastic and the ones that come out best using PLA. The 3Doodler is still in the pre-order stage and will cost you only $99USD. Wobble Works expects to begin shipping no later than February of 2014 and will offer worldwide shipping. You can download press release documents here or view the 3Doodler press page here. You can also view their Kickstarter page.
